Art Farm programs provide an opportunity to bring people together in support of the arts, with the belief that art in everyday life can create a greater understanding of the world.
Art Farm, The Place
Art Farm's long term vision is to be a nationally recognized arts champion and forum for cultural dialogue by creating a vibrant community of creative facilities & artist workspaces alongside the units of The Serenbe Institute of Art, Culture & the Environment. These spaces provide a serene, stimulating environment for engaging with the arts, located on 40+ acres directly next to the Serenbe community.
Programs + Projects
Our signature program is Art Over Dinner, a regular series of intimate gatherings with artists and the organizations that support their work, established in 2015.
Art Farm holds regular community programming that includes exhibitions in Gainey Hall Gallery and art programs integrated into Serenbe events throughout the year. Scroll down to learn about our studio.
Education + Play
Our in-community learning space, dubbed the Art Farm Studio, offers year-round arts programming for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to professional artists. Our mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of visual art mediums by offering a variety of immersive experiences, led by studio artists and professional instructors from around the world. Each summer we host two weeks of art camp in partnership with Camp Serenbe, as well as plenty of art + craft based programs built into Serenbe events throughout the year.
Sponsorships and donations are vital to our growth. Serenbe provides a unique environment for brand reach, as proven by our successful partnership with Lexus. Contact our Director, Megan Schaeffer, to talk partnership opportunities.
ART FARM DIRECTOR
Megan Schaeffer is the Art Farm Director at Serenbe. After receiving a BA in Arts Management from the College of Charleston, Schaeffer completed the Sotheby's Institute of Fine Art intensive program on Gallery Management and Curatorial Studies. She was a founding team-member of the Charleston, SC chapter of Creative Mornings, a monthly breakfast lecture series focusing on leaders in the creative community. Her time as Outreach Coordinator for Artist & Craftsman Supply, an employee owned art supply company, led to a love of art supplies (ask her about types of oil paint, she'll keep you a while) and, more importantly, arts education.
Most recently, Schaeffer was the Artist Liaison & Art Resource Coordinator for a prominent Atlanta art consulting firm. Since moving to Atlanta in 2015, she has worked with ArtsATL, an arts publication, on its programming and sponsorship, and serves on the advisory board of ArtsNOW.
She is driven by a passion to build creative communities and create meaningful opportunities for artists.
If you are interested in creating a partnership, would like to be involved in the Art Farm, or are just looking to chat about the arts over a good cup of coffee, please send an email to Megan at email@example.com.
